Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance) covers outpatient treatment and facilities provided by doctors and other health care providers. Durable medical supplies, home health care, and certain preventive services are also provided under Section B.
If you or your spouse is already working and protected by an employer or union community health plan, you may be eligible for a special enrollment period.
Just two situations allow you to defer Part B without facing late penalties: if you have health insurance coverage by active jobs, or if you've been traveling overseas and aren't eligible for Part A benefits without paying premiums.
